Manty Albani

Manty Albani is a visual artist and art teacher. She studied painting and attended multimedia courses in the Athens School of Fine Arts. She also studied archaeology and history of art in the Athens University.  She has participated in several group shows and collaborative projects in Greece and abroad (e.g. Microgeographies I - Athens 2011, Hidden Athens 2010, Athens Biennale 2009, 2nd Tashkent Biennale 2005, Venice Biennale of Architecture 2004 and Scan Istanbul 2003 among others) and has presented a solo exhibition (Athens 2003). 

As an art teacher, she  has collaborated with Music & Audiovisual Arts Faculty of Ionian University on educational art projects (Corfu 2013, Tsepelovo 2014).

She has also translated C. Freeland’s volume, “But is this art?” (Plethron editions, Athens, 2004) and part of the compilation “The political in art”, edited by K. Stafylakis & J. Stavrakakis (Ekkremes editions, Athens, 2008).  

She currently works and lives in Corfu, Greece.
