Talando is an object used in the monasteries to signal sonically events in the monks life. This project transforms this object into an interactive musical installation and an augmented interactive musical instrument. The sound is coming from the instrmuents body (mchined wood) but also electronically though the use of specifically designed physical modeling algorithms. Accelerometes and piezoelectric sensors control the sound synthesis/processing and enhance the interacton.
